Los Gatos Hills ADU

Nestled in the serene hills of Los Gatos, California, this 1,200-square-foot Accessory Dwelling Unit is designed as a welcoming and independent home for the daughter of the property owners. Blending seamlessly with the main house, the ADU mirrors its Mediterranean-inspired aesthetic with red clay tile roofing, warm stucco walls, and wood accents, all thoughtfully selected to harmonize with the surrounding chaparral landscape.
The two-bedroom, two-bathroom layout maximizes livability within a compact footprint. A vaulted ceiling in the open-plan kitchen, dining, and living space enhances the airy, light-filled interior. Natural materials—such as light oak cabinetry, wood flooring, and stone countertops—bring warmth and texture, while custom tile selections in the bathrooms introduce color and character.
Outdoor living is a top priority for this project. Multiple patio areas, including a private deck off the living room and a cozy lounge patio near the entry, extend the living space into the landscape. A privacy fence and native plantings create a peaceful retreat that feels tucked away from the world while remaining steps from family.
This ADU is more than just an addition to the property: it’s a long-term investment in flexibility, family, and thoughtful design.
